What African American Book I can read?

I'm looking for a book of fiction or documentary writer Black is really good. im not attacking any of the other great writers of African-American, but I'm tired of reading about a beautiful ebony plump who falls for a gangster or a pimp or a stripper and a Christian book base where everyone runs to God for the answer to the final. I read their eyes were watching God, Malcolm X, I know why the Caged Bird Sings, etc., but I have not encountered any, FRESH new hardware. I read recently that have been given more talent the realm of the gods. 'm an aspiring writer. I love creating children's books and secular novels. What is the title of a book of Christian fiction to conditions in Turkey?

I read this book back around 2002, and I think that was released in late 1990 (I think by a male author). The book was about a woman Christian missionary visited Turkey, a Muslim man (An archaeologist, I think), which are the ruins of an ancient temple. unique aspects of the book: - The flashbacks to the time of the Apostle Paul's point of view of a messenger from one of the letters of the apostle - Some conspiracy / element Criminal (remember a scene with a group of poor women and men pursuing through the temple) - At the beginning of the book, she tries to learn Turkish and taught a few phrases from other Christian women (I think the nuns who live nearby). If anyone knows the title or author would be grateful. I read the book once or twice, then gave it to my family. I searched long for this book, and I have not had any luck.

It reminds me of Ted Dekker: "Happy is the child." The child of miracles? Was the woman covered with burn scars?

Olson manages to communicate emotion in a way few authors can. I was drawn into the plot and brought to tears several times. Sam and Mary Johnson is the kind of people who all want to be, Sam has rough edges and appeared as very human. Eddy is a very vulnerable. It indicates the selfless love and did not fear that those who likes to get hurt. Eddy would be willing to sacrifice his life for others. Ernest is the perfect opponent for this story. It is cruel and arrogant is the worst HEA humanity. The cover is nicely done the profile of a young man, where the air around him seems to be a mystery. I really enjoyed this book and read it in one sitting, literally could not put it down. I recommend this book to those who love Christian fiction. Bravo Mr. Olson.
